Take it, order it, stack it.
Kaiten means the plates come to you. Half the fun is the belt; the half nobody explains is how to order everything that is not on it. Here is the whole thing in three minutes.
The three moves
Take what passes
Plates circle the counter under little domes. Anything going by is yours — lift the dome, take the plate, no need to ask. Six plate colors ride the belt, so what passes is only part of the menu, which is why regulars also do step two straight away.
Scan, write or ask
Only the six plate colors ride the belt. Everything else — rolls, sashimi, hand rolls, the lunch and dinner combinations — you order, and it is up to you how: scan the QR code at your seat, write it on the paper slip, or just tell us and we will put it in.
Stack your empties
Keep the empty plates at your seat. At the end we count them by color, and that is the bill — you pay for exactly what you took.
Every color, every price
Six plates, $2.00 to $5.25.
Sushi is two pieces per plate. Sashimi is priced separately, from $3.00, and the lunch and dinner combinations are on the main menu.
Red $2.50
Tamago, inari, corn mayo, crab mayo, smelt egg, natto.
Blue $3.00
Albacore, saba, ebi, striped bass, salmon, hokkigai.
Silver $3.50
Maguro, tako, hamachi, ika, anago, cooked scallop, Cajun salmon.
Gold $4.00
Akami, aji, hirame, amaebi, raw scallop, unagi.
Stone $5.25
Snow crab, ikura, seared beef tataki, oysters.

How do I order?
Take whatever looks good off the belt as it passes — that is the six plate colors, and nothing to order. Everything else you order, and it is up to you how: scan the QR code at your seat, write it on the paper slip, or just tell us and we will put it in. It is cut to order either way.
How does the pricing work?
Plates on the belt are priced by color: wood is $2.00, red $2.50, blue $3.00, silver $3.50, gold $4.00 and stone $5.25. Stack your empties and we count the colors at the end. Anything you order rather than take off the belt — rolls, sashimi, hand rolls, combinations — is priced individually on the menu, sashimi from $3.00.
Is it all-you-can-eat?
No. You pay per plate for what you take off the belt, so a light lunch stays light. There is also a full à la carte menu with lunch and dinner combinations, udon, tempura and teriyaki plates.
Do you take reservations?
Yes. The room is small — about a 30-minute wait on a weekend evening — so calling ahead at (714) 444-2161 is worth it.
Where do I park?
There is a free lot in front and free street parking on South Bristol. The lot, entrance, restrooms and seating are all wheelchair accessible.
Can I order online for pickup?
Yes. The full menu is on this site — order pickup and pay by card or Apple Pay, and we start cutting when the order lands.
